CENTER FOR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF ECOTECHNICS
The Ecological Park's general concept re-takes the urban draw up of prehispanic cities, wich were mostly developed around a great open main square with long avenues to access the different constructions.
| From Teotihuacan we take the rotation of its composition axe
at 17 degrees to the east from the polar north. Also the idea of its avenue, wich allows us to discover the constructions, while showing us interesting elements through the way.

The avenue of the death shows us elements of sorprise and interest that appear and disappear when going up and down the stairways, wich makes the walking shorter. The constructions are camouflaged with the sorroundings as a result of its materials, shapes and location.

The great open squares before arriving to the main constructions are important elements of the design on prehispanic cities, where space expands after the narrow avenues. |

Another city from wich we took elements for the design its Chichen-Itza, in wich the main construction (the piramid of Kukulcán), the most important visual element (the aviary in our project) can be discovered from the moment we enter the complex, but we can only get there after walking through part of the city. |

Considering the general concept of the Ecological Park Complex (the prehispanic cities) we have that the place where science was developed on those cities was, in general, the observatory. Also and interesting construction for beeing always round shaped, since it was related to the sky and the universe.

The observatory was founded near the most important element of the complex (the aviary in this project) giving it frame and strength. |
