Mexico City's government it is actually working on an ecological delimitation and protection plan, through the Instituto Mexicano de Recursos Naturales Renovables (IMERNAR), wich has given priority to San Gregorio, for its importance on bird's migration and plants diversity.

Proposal

Because of San Gregorio's area dimensions (over 2,500 Ha/ 6,177 Acres) it could be considered as a National Park, with a legislated protection level, for wich it would be necessary a project of supervision, development and control, the Tizitlipa Ecological Park complex.

The Center for Research and Development of Ecotechnics it would be one of the main projects of the Tizitlipa Ecological Park's complex.
